The Yougurt cake is the cake that all Portuguese know how to do. It is probably the first cake our mothers teached us and the first their mothers teached them. It's easy and very flavourfull, not too sweetie. Perfect with a cup of tea.
It doesn't require a lot of kitchen tools the mesures are made with the yougurt cup.
Here's is the recipe:

What I used:

1 yogurt (use with aroma like peach or tutti - frutti )
4 eggs
4 cups of the yougurt of sugar
4 cups of the yougurt of flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 cup of the yougurt of sunflower oil

how I did it:

1. Pre -heat the oven to 180ºC
2. oint a cake pan with butter and sprinkle with flour
3. in a bowl , add the yogurt , eggs , sugar, oil and flour sifted with baking powder
4. beat with an electric mixer or wooden spoon until the dough is homogeneous and start to bubble ( not beat too much for the cake does not get heavy )
5. pour the batter into the pan and bake for about 40-45 minutes ( check if the cake is baked sticking a toothpick in the center if it comes out clean, if yes remove the cake it's ready :) )
6. remove from heat and let cool before remove from the pan.
7. Enjoy!!

I haven't post anything because I got a throat infection and I've been at home trying to get better! The doctor said it's a virus in the air 
I'm taking antibiotic and eating chicken noodle soup or just rice with chicken 
I'm also making this tea. The flu fighting tea I found at Pinterest.

Ingredients:

1 bag good quality organic echinacea tea (optional)
3 or 4 thin slices of fresh organic ginger root
3 tablespoons organic lemon juice, fresh squeezed
2 tablespoons raw organic honey
1/2 teaspoon organic ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon organic ground clove
Cayenne pepper to taste

Directions:

1. In a large cup of hot filtered water, steep the tea bag and the sliced ginger (you may omit the tea bag if you’d like).

2. Add the lemon juice, honey and spices and stir well. The tea will be cloudy.

3. If you’d like, you may strain the tea through cheesecloth to remove the ground spices and ginger. At our house, we just drink it as is.

Since I got a blender I've been making a lot of smoothies. I love fruits, all kinds of fruits except the terrible Kiwi (is it possivle that Kiwi makes me have headache?). So drinking a smothie is just another tasty way for me to consume more fruits. I like smoothies because I can add milk and yogurt and I have my portion of daily calcium, since i don't drink milk.
I found this on Instagram that helps how to make a great smoothie! 
I like to make banana and strawberry, banana and blueberry and strawberry and blueberry.
I really wanna try the ones who have green vegetables.

Yesterday I went to have dinner in La Boulanger in the Corniche.
The weather is still good in UAE. I do not miss the hot days at all and yesterday it was a little bit cold in the night, nothing special but a cold that needs a jacket.
La Boulanger is a restaurant situated in the corniche near marina mall and with amazing views to Abu Dhabi. 
I think everyone that comes to Abu Dhabi goes to La Boulanger. For me I have really good memories in this place. It was one of the first places that I went when I first came to Abu Dhabi. 
I prefer to go near the sunset time. the light is amazing. 
The food is not spectacular but its good and the portions are reasonably good.
The really bad con in this place is the service. Is very slow.. But with a litle patiente you get everything you asked for!
A must in Abu Dhabi!

This Cabin crew life moves in a very fast rhythim. Today I´m remembering when I went to London! This was one of the last places that I visited as a cabin crew. And one that I definetely want to come back. I Love Europe a lot and I loved the environment in this city. It´s a multicultural city where you can see people from everywhere in this world. I definitely liked the lifestyle lived in London. People finish work and go for dinner with friends or just have a coffee, so, like, at 7 or 6 pm the streets, restaurants and coffee shops are full with people gathering and talking.

Of course I went to London Eye, althought, I thought its super expensive like £22 but it was worth it, especially because the time I spent in the city was so little I had to go up in the London Eye to see everything.

The Hotel was like one hour away from the city so we had to take the metro to the city centre. The metro lines are soo confusing but it definitely takes you everywhere. We left in Picadilly circus and then we just walked everywhere. Truly looking to this city was something special we see so many movies that are filmed here its like i have been there.  The Big Ben and the Houses of the Parliement are amazing.

I wished I stayed more time In this city. I went to a Indian restaurant there but unfortunetly I don´t have pictures.

Inspiration for the weekend!
Starting friday with a smothie and pancakes breakfast. 
Then just spend the rest of the day relaxing by the beach with my husband! That's all we need!

H&M Home open 28th Feb in Abu Dhabi mall. I went to get a sneak peak.
All the decoration things are very clean and simple. 
I still prefere Zara Home although the style decor is similar.

So I wanted to do something new to eat today so I went with my husband to Jamie Oliver website and we choosed this Chicken Stew with Pomegranate. This is a new flavor for me but I know that here in Middle East pomegranate is used a lot in food.
So here is the recipe adapted from Jamie aoliver website and some pictures of my food!

What I used:
1-2 tbsp olive oil
Chicken tights skin and bone in
1 tsp paprika
1 onion, sliced
2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
2 red chilli, finely sliced
2 tbsp coriander
300 ml tomato sauce
2 tbsp pomegranate molasses
Pomegranate seeds

How I did it:
1. Heat the oil in a casserole over a medium heat. Season the chicken with salt, pepper and paprika, then brown in the hot oil for 7–8 minutes. Remove the pieces to a plate and set aside.

2. In the same pan, add another splash of oil with the onions. Stir well, being sure to catch the sticky bits at the bottom of the pan. Cook slowly for 15 minutes, till onions are soft, adding the garlic, chilli and the coriander for the last 5 minutes. Stir in the passata, molasses and pomegranate juice, season well, then bring to the boil.

3. Return the chicken with any juices to the pan, cover and lower heat. Simmer for 30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked and the sauce has thickened, checking often that it's not sticking.

4.serve with Rice
