The Yougurt cake is the cake that all Portuguese know how to do. It is probably the first cake our mothers teached us and the first their mothers teached them. It's easy and very flavourfull, not too sweetie. Perfect with a cup of tea.
It doesn't require a lot of kitchen tools the mesures are made with the yougurt cup.

Traditional Yougurt Cake
What I used:
1 yogurt (use with aroma like peach or tutti - frutti )
4 eggs
4 cups of the yougurt of sugar
4 cups of the yougurt of flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 cup of the yougurt of sunflower oil

how I did it:
1. Pre -heat the oven to 180ºC
2. oint a cake pan with butter and sprinkle with flour
3. in a bowl , add the yogurt , eggs , sugar, oil and flour sifted with baking powder
4. beat with an electric mixer or wooden spoon until the dough is homogeneous and start to bubble ( not beat too much for the cake does not get heavy )
5. pour the batter into the pan and bake for about 40-45 minutes ( check if the cake is baked sticking a toothpick in the center if it comes out clean, if yes remove the cake it's ready :) )
6. remove from heat and let cool before remove from the pan.
